Summer Camp for Youth

„NERINGA YOUTH ORCHESTRA“

„Neringa Youth Orchestra 2023“

Green World Aid Camps is an ambitious initiative to educate the younger generation. Art, music, sustainability, ecology - these are the dominant themes in the camps and the programs based on them. The goal is to educate and reach a young audience on sustainability topics in a way that is acceptable to them.

Children's day camp "Ratuku" plans to start its existence in Neringa in the summer of 2024.

The camp program, full of active and educational activities, will focus on educating children on the topics of environmental protection and sustainability.

"Ratuku" will spin intensively and meaningfully here. Children's knowledge will be filled with the basics of the circular economy, we will strengthen the awareness of the meaning of sustainability by actively spending time in nature, breathing fresh air, and playing engaging games. And all this is presented through the prism of ecology, nature conservation, greenness and sustainability.

A camp of high musical excellence, traditionally held in Neringa for the fourth season during the schoolchildren's summer vacation.

The Neringa Youth Orchestra camp is accompanied by exceptional evenings of musical excellence, open concerts for city guests and residents. Young Lithuanian musical talents and academic music professionals take part in the concerts held during the camp.

The camp is attended by young violinists and cellists, who are given individual master classes by music professionals and educators: Darius Mažintas, Gleba Pyšniakas, Martynas Švėgžda von Beker, Artūras Šilalė, Dalia Dėdinskaitė and others. Also, during the camp, lessons on film art are organized, discussions are held, and lectures are given on stage performance and preparation for concerts. According to the creator of the camp, pianist Darius Mažintas, this is an exceptional camp in Lithuania, where young musical talents have the opportunity to play and get to know professionals and their performance methods: "Campers are encouraged to experiment and improvise. I think this is important in noticing and developing a child's musical talents. I am glad that this children's music camp adds to the list of cultural events taking place in Neringa, young musicians also gain concert experience"

During the camp, there are free concerts by young musicians and academic music professionals, to which residents and guests of Neringa are invited.
